The nut for the shift lever is on the inside, so drop the pan to pull it out. Start with the old trans from the truck, so you can easily see what you need to do, then install those parts in the new trans. Take pics if you haven't done this before, so you know what order to reinstall.

Agree Jarad, If recall is correct tech had to open the transmission to swap the car shift arm to truck.

ok that makes sense so off to pull and save should i get the whole tranny or just the arm? p.s. i used to be "dazed and confused" but my computer crashed and i lost everything now i am known as"dreamofford" if someone could combine the too together it would be less confusing. thanks
