Also parts stores testing a starter means nothing.
Just because it spins doesn't mean it's good. May not have enough go juice inside, could be drawing too many amps, etc.
Batteries first.
Ok so I just put a brand new starter in it and it was cranking then all of a sudden it made a snap noise and now it won't crank at all... so something is shorting it out ? Bad fuse? Idk!
With a new Ford cam sensor, new 1000cca batteries, new battery cables, new Ford ipr, watching with auto enginuity my engine only cranks over at 150 to 160rpm and fires right up.
You need to test the batteries and make sure you have good battery cables. Really you should own auto enginuity it's saved me so much time in guessing.
Ok so now when you pull it off it won't will idle for a little but it revs up and down (lobbing I think) but then it levels out and shuts off so I tried to pull it again and it would only run if you we accelerating but as soon as you let off gas it shuts down so is that hpop some where ???
*batteries?
*starter?
*WTS light comes on like it's supposed?
*Tach is reading correctly? (CPS)
*Fuel bowl full?
If all these check out, you're gonna need more info from the computer..
AutoEnginuity or Forscan, Forscan is free if you have a laptop. You just need a OBD2 to USB adapter.
If it fires up but is running rough and dies, I'd suspect oil or fuel supply issue. It's all guessing until you scan it.

oh ok and it will run even if that's bad just not start?
No. If that is bad, it will not run. The tach gets its readings from that sensor. Trucks have been known to shut down while going down the highway when one of these fail. Many of us keep a spare in the glovebox, along with a 10mm wrench to change it.
Update I think the HPOP is bad or the ipr i was driving the truck around the other day and it was kinda missing a little and down on power about 1000 rmps then the check engine light came on and it is way down on power over 1000rpm is this the HPOP or IPR ? I did have to pull start it to get it running.
Have you tried starting it by jumping the solenoid on the PS fender?
Do you have any way to read live data? It would behoove you to get us accurate data so we don't chase our own tail or yours.
the snap way the starting fuse fixed that the screw is striped so i cant look at oil level. i have jumped the solenoid and it doents work. what kind of data tracker should i get i don't have much to spend.
