Ignition module online?
I'm not having any luck at all.

Get a MotorCraft module if you can afford it, they cost more than the cheapies but don't go out every 6-12 months. The lifetime guarantee isn't worth the extra gas you will burn b4 your module quits entirely as well as your time spent replacing it.
Mount your module with 1/4" spacers for cooling air flow under it.
Anyone else have any ideas?
How much have you paid for the Motorcraft ones?
Thanks again.
I just went to the Morotcraft site directly. I found the part (SW-1089) but they won't give me a price. Guess I'll call around today.
Thanks for the intsall tips!

I called a parts house and described my truck. They said I don't have an ignition module, because my truck dosen't have points.
I'm the one who told them I don't have points. I'm pretty sure my truck was converted. How do I tell for sure, and if I don't have points, then is it really true that I DON"T have an ignition module?
And even though I could give them a Motorcraft part number, they said there was no such thing for my truck anyway. What the heck is going on?
You're not confused the "so called" parts supplier is confused.
Point systems have no modules in them.
Greatest number of parts people don't know squat beyond what they read on a screen or page. I've 66 F100 w/ 460. If I go to parts supply, they ask make, year, model, vehicle & engine?. If I say 66 F100 w/ 460 they want to argue.
I go to Motorcraft, FoMoCo, or Ford Racing supplier, give 'em my distrib # [ D3VE12127 ****] they give me module I need & don't give a hoot what vehicle it's in, or try to tell me I'm wrong.
As said, Motorcraft costs more, but lasts longer. It works better too & U don't have to argue w/ idiots to get whats needed when needed.
Autozone does sell ignition modules, made by Wells. Like most Wells stuff, they either don't run right or last long. Wells relays & sensors for EFI make grown, certified, EFI techs weep!
Before I went & bought off brand, I'd equate Motorcraft # you say you have, to a part with a name & application. Then go get 1 from a salvage yard, off a wrecked vehicle.
