Hi, I just purchased a 1948 F6, COE farm truck. I have a couple of ideas in the back of my head as to what to do with it. First thought, pull the cab and stretch it making it a quad cap and put it on a 1993 1 ton chassis, with a 7.3 turbo diesel, air suspension, I probably will have to stretch the frame to. Or put it on my 1987 F250 4 x 4 chassis with the 7.3 diesel. I prefer the old style frame compared to the new. I am in the brain storming stage and am looking for ideas. So your input would be appreciated. Thanks
I am doing a 51 Coe on my 91 4x4. Then my 48 crew cab on its original frame. I am scheduled to start on it in June of next year. I have kinda planned out most of it and hoping i dont run into too many surprises.
Well I finally went and picked up the 48 COE. Had a few issues loading it. But managed to get it loaded even after 2 batteries going dead in the middle of it all. 110 miles one way. It's still on the trailer. I will take pictures when I get it unloaded and post them. Next is to go pick up the other two trucks to see if I can use the cabs to stretch the 48 COE. It would be great to have a 6 door 48 Ford COE, 4X4, with 460 turbo, 5 speed. Well at least that is the direction I an leaning, That is if the other two cabs will work.
