Your truck looks really good, however it is not all original. The pickup bed looks like it is from a 1953 and up Ford 1/2 ton. The running boards are custom. I am not sure about the rear fenders. A 1953 Ford has a different profile around the rear fenders.

How much it is worth? Grandpa's truck! PRICELESS!

For insurance reason etc I would get a good vintage auto appraiser to go over your truck. Your insurance company will be able to point you in the right direction. Nice truck especially the family connection!!!!

...Looks like a newer box/fenders on it. Here's a pic of my 46 box/fender side. Has a rib length wise and a reinforcement piece in the middle. Still a real old neat truck you got there. If you want to part with it, ... I probably have room. ......

Nice Truck! The fenders and bed almost look '47-'55 Chevy. It doesn't look Ford.

Not a '47 Chev bed or fender. Maybe Grandpa put an International Harvester early fifties fender on there? Just sayin'. It is kind of a mystery from the cab back.

I think back in the day farmers or whomever would damage a truck bed and graft on anything that was at hand that was close to fitting. Attached are some photos of the Studebaker bed that was installed long ago on my '39 p/u.

I'm not sure about the bed. I know he was the second owner and drove it on the weekends. I have no place to store it and I get depressed looking at her. Brings back so many memories. That's why I need to part ways. I store it at my grandmas and she needs the room. I believe last time checked it had 56k for miles

My condolences on the passing of your grandfather. I am not sure how recently he passed but make sure you really want to sell because when his truck is gone it' gone. good luck. I am sure you will make the decision that is right for you!

You should put it up for sale on the swap section at the top of this page. Maybe craigslist. Should mention the incorrect bed and fenders. And BAT that studebaker bed is a gem, even while wrong. I had an identical one as a box trailer years ago. Nice steel floor.
