460 Oil Pan Question
For example, I saw a Canton pan (P/N 16-774) that states it will fit a 78 F-250 2WD. I know bumps and dents are very similar... But final fitment can always be different due to very small detail differences in chassis, etc. A person does not want to find out the oil pan won't clear when you are trying to shoehorn the engine into the bay. That generally makes for a very bad day.
Does anyone have experience with aftermarket 460 pans for F-250 2WD's?

Genuine Ford reverse sump pan: 1975/91 Econoline 460, you will also need the pickup tube and the stud to attach it.
The first customer I sold these parts to (circa 1977 - I also sold him a new 460 long block) had a 1971 F250 2WD that originally came w/a 390. He lived in Cypress CA and sold repro GTO parts.
Optimally, something like a +1 quart would be best, but I know if I work with my engine builder he'll want an oil pan regardless for the application. Hence, I'm looking in advance a little bit.
