My closest dealer had exactly one 2017 Superduty on the lot and it was a very base model. I think it was a regular cab, medium bed. Even my wife was not impressed with it. I doubt I'll see a truck on the lot that is exactly what I've ordered. But I'll keep looking.

I guess those of us ordering a long bed truck are a true minority, but also true truck people. I understand the short box for those who are looking more for an extension of their RV but I am still active enough to need a full size box regularly. I looked for a little while but when I realized some of the sacrifices that would be required with a lot truck gave up the chase and have gone back to waiting and whining. Since this is an important purchase with which I will live with for several years a few more months, although hard, will give me the enjoyment of exactly what I wanted, not something close. After 16 great years with my last truck I am ready for new and want it just as I want it, not a compromise.
So keep the faith, yours will come too and you both will be happy when it arrives!
