I'm having some problems with my truck, loss of power, very sluggish..
So I decided to check my fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. Truck would start just fine before.. I installed the pressure gauge on the fuel rail valve and turned the key to ON position and the gauge read 52-55psi. Turned it back OFF. And once again turned it back to ON position. Then tried to started it and it would just crank.. Wanting to start but nothing! Still read at 52-55psi..

Tried again.. Nothing.... And again... Nothing!!!

Unplugged the pressure gauge. And unplugged both battery ports. Left it off for 5-10mins and plugged them back on... Crank... But no start!

Checked fuel shut off switch on passenger side and it was good.

When I turn the key you can hear the fuel pump turning on/ pumping.

What did I do wrong? She would start just fine 2secs or LESS! And started like a champ! Is it possible air got in the fuel rail system? Is that even possible?? Help!!! Shes my daily!

 

...did you check for spark?

 

I was Not getting a spark. I remembered I had changed my Ignition Control Module, ICM. with a brand new Motorcraft ICM. I had the old one in the truck, unplugged the motorcraft. Plugged the old one on and started up like a Boss! Faulty Ford Motorcraft part?? I'm a bit disappointed. But she's running fine now. Thanks!
