Part # For Running Board?

Hey guys....I'm getting tired of having to dress the black plastic running boards on my 2005 XLT. Besides being slightly slippery (which Mrs. MattMPA hates)....I'd just like to replace the black plastic covers.

I've been searching on eBay figuring they are long discontinued. Mine are black without the light lenses.

So, can anyone give me the part # for these things? Thanks in advance! If they a re still in the Ford system I can order them locally...although I bet they're pricey.

I know, I know..I could do the AMP steps, but just haven't been able to pull the trigger on them...

You could also upgrade to the newer steps off of an SD. Thats my plan when I come across a nice clean set.

YC3Z 16N454-AAC RH Cover
YC3Z 16N455-AAC LH Cover
No longer available from Ford. The last retail price listed was $237.67 each.

The chrome complete boards are still available at a low low stupid retail of $1014.35.

Just look for a set like mine on CL. If you were closer to me it would be different but when I take mine off to put my Amps on they're going up on CL cheap (like $200). Would be way too far for you even for free

Truth be known.....I really want the AMP Steps...have for some time. 2 things (Besides price) have kept me at bay...

1. Having to drill a hole on each side. I've yet to drill a hole in the body of my Ex and after all these years I'm apprehensive.

2. They're not "stock". This isn't as big a deal...as I think it would be at least as functional as the factory boards...except with a cool party trick.

So for those that have installed these...did you have to drill an additional hole in the body? (I understand the other brand of these steps don't need that...)

Ii picked up the ones like Apocalypse for $150 including hardware. For the OEM I really like the straight bars compared to the body hugger plastic jobs.

Thanks NumberDummy! I'd even convert to the ones with the lights if needed. Anyone know if the lighted ones are available?

Ive been looking for a set of those for a while. I don't really want chrome but might be interested in yours when you get ready to sell. I'm in Charlotte NC every couple weeks for business and could meet you maybe near the NC/VA line.

The only cover still available from Ford is a RH Beige. Everything else is obsolete.

thanks jpr38057! I figured as much...but it was worth a shot.

All this just pushes me towards the AMP Steps or a similar to original plastic step.
