CPS problems

I have a 97 7.3 and keep getting error codes for cps sensor intermittent. Truck won't start now and randomly died several times on the side of the road. Bi have tried 2 new cps. One was Borg Warner truck ran for a while but had a miss at high rpms. Got a new one from ford the F7TZ. Truck has not started since this was installed. Also changed the cps pigtail. Still getting cps code and no start.

You might need to trace the wires farther back to see if it's worn through the insulation. And try another cps. Even the Ford ones have been known to be doa
