one brake sticking
Just wondering if anyone has seen this problem and could tell me whats up. My wifes 08 escape has one right front brake that will stick and get hot but not all the time. It usually acts up after she has drove to town about 5 miles and then is running around in town for a bit. I thought it was the caliper, so i changed it out and made sure everything looked free and smooth. A few days later she called and said it was the same ole thing again. If the car cools off it will be fine again. It is a front wheel drive. I followed the brake line back to the ABS module and think it has to be that or the maybe the rubber line at the caliper. Any other ideas? Thanks, Al

Replace the LF rubber line. Most likely, there's corrosion inside that mounting bracket that's compressing the hose on the LF corner. Common failure point.
While you're at it, inspect them all for cracking near where the bracket wraps around the hose, replace any that are cracked..
