So I know the dealers get an update on Thursdays. Does this mean Ford only updates the system once per week? If so then we are wasting our time checking with Chat everyday.

Chat may be a day or two behind getting all their information but for the most part yes. The updates are on Thursday for the entire system.
Chat kept giving me an eta of the 20th then 21st of September while my dealer said the 12th. The dealer later came back and said the week of the 20th. I haven't seen my truck yet so chat must be somewhat accurate. Waiting to see if it shows this week now. Sticker shows built 8-31-16. All the trucks I have ever ordered have showed up in less than 2 weeks. I'm just about 6 hours or so from KTP.

Go to the build and price site and it usually pops up. Sometimes the chat symbol is located beside the save button, but other times it isn't. At least for me anyway.
Chat and my dealer have been aligned from the beginning. They are both reading from the same vehicle visibility report...accessible with VIN or order number and dealer code...at least in my case.
Go to build&price, start configuring a truck, then click over to the summary tab.. if Chat is available, an icon will be present next to the Save & Print icons.. If they're busy helping others, the icon won't be there, but if you refresh every few minutes, it will reappear once they're available. If your inside their customer service hours that is.
