Can you ask him how he plans to do the embossed "S U P E R DU T Y" letters in the paint of the hood?
I will ask him. No matter who does the job don't let them cut the film on the paint a lot of guys don't have the high end plotters to cut it out and it just is not the same as a computer cut
I've had ClearBra on my current truck for almost 10 years. No yellowing at all. The edges are only tricky when you let polish accumulate there. Either tape off the edges when you polish or just put a bit more time into buffing it out. I spent 3 hours this weekend buffing out scratches on the passenger side from the trail to Elk camp. I plan to put a lot more ClearBra on my F-350 so I can worry less about scratches.
I asked my dealer about how they work the bra with the embossed letters. He took me to see the guy who does the work for them. He told me that it was just about impossible to cut the stuff around the individual letters. So now he just cuts a rectangle out where the words are. Not sure I like that. Any suggestions or photos of it being applied over/around the letters?
The 3m that was on my 08 did not hold up to the rocks so I elected to go with a bed liner type product. It's not actual bed liner as it's a thinker product.
There's a seller on ebay that has 3M film that's been laser cut with the template for the 17SD.
As you can see from the screengrab below, it has the letters cut out, with the minor details, like the narrow spots on the S and E, missing. The pic shown is for the most basic front hood and fender kit -- there's other a la carte kits to cover the headlights, bumper and a-pillars.

First one they did. They said it was a challenge around the
" super duty" but they nailed it perfectly.
very nice shine can't tell it's on.
Loco, can you take a close up of the letters? I can't tell how close they came. I plan to do many of the leading painted surfaces. I didn't think about the A pillar.

Will do as soon as I can.
Going to a funeral tomorrow so it may be Sunday.
Leaving at 4am without truck.
Shop did both Xpel and Suntek. They prefer the Suntek on white trucks for better color clarity. Hood, bumper, entire quarter panels, Cab roof to lights, A pillars, black plastic B pillars and door cups were done for $1500. They also wrapped the edges of the hood and quarters, no lines showing.

We did the entire hood. Can't even tell it is installed, the only visible edges are on the bumper and Super Duty letter cutouts. I'll see about pics when it get's light out. -B
