67 highboy frame shortening

67 highboy frame shortening

I got a highboy I'm cutting down to put my shortbox on I was told 16 inches is what I need to cut out however it's just frame right now I don't know where I should measure from to cut the 15 inches out I know behind the cab but does it matter how far from cab I cut

You will also have the cut the frame off on the back. If I remember right it was like 4".

Yea that should be easy just the last 4 inches I don't think that's too critical lol

Links in the tech info compilation on what to do.

On a 4x4, fishplate both sides of the frame AND box it at least 12 inches on both beyond the z-cut....
