2013 F250 and I can't see crapola at night with even the high beams on. In our Tahoe the high beams look like aircraft landing lights!!! What gives? Are there bulbs that can make that much of a difference?
I have used the Silverstar bulbs in one of my cars and it was like night and day. The only problem is they didn't last. They aren't cheap ether. Have them checked to make sure that they are adjusted correctly. I have a 15 and i would like the low beams to be a little higher.
I bought a set of these and had them in my 2014. I removed them before I traded it for a 2016. They're not going into the 16. The low beams didn't reach out quite as much as I'd like even after adjusting them. Add to that the fact then when switching from high beam back to low, the low take a few seconds to return to full strength. Not the best situation when you're in night time traffic and clicking back & forth. They're on the local CL now. I posted here so that maybe others don't spend their money like I did. Not sure if this would help but here is anouther option, it meant to help take the load off the light switch and feeds it more direct path to the bulbs, I am planing on picking up one next pay cheque…hope the link works
Get Philips Xtreme Vision bulbs. They are 65w high/55w low, compared to OEM which is 35 hi and low, so they are very bright compared to stock. They are nearly white (if you want white light) and the manufacturer says they should last about 450 hours.
Silverstars are crap. I put them in my wife's Taurus and they lasted less than a year.
Regardless of which ones you use, wear nitrile gloves to put them in (or be VERY, VERY careful not to touch the bulb) because oil from your fingers will create a hotspot on the bulb and burn it out early.
