Whining Noise
For the past two years I have had this whining noise coming from under the hood 95 F150 5.0L E04D auto trans .It started after I changed the cam and put shorty headers on.The sound doesn't change when the trans is shifting gears.It only happens with the engine under load and gets louder as the rpm's increase.It won't do it in neutral only when driving.I changed the Alt,water pump,smog pump,power steering pump,idler's,serp.belt.Yesterday I dropped the trans pan no debris and fluild was clean ,only a little black goop on the magnet which is normal.

I am kind of thinking it's not the trans.The pitch of the whine is the same in all gears.
