2000 Excursion, V-10 with 150,000 on the clock. At start up it with will run fine for about 10-15 seconds then is begins misfiring. Took it to a buddy's shop with Snap-On Scanner. It shows cylinders 6-10 misfiring for about 30-45 seconds and then it smooth's out and runs fine. Never thrown a code and can only make it do it after it sits overnight. Mass Air Flow has been cleaned and new plugs, boots and a few new coils about 20K ago. Any help is always appreciated. Thanks.
There are few items that singly can affect an entire bank.
The PCM fires all the injectors by grounding individual relays for each cylinder.
Since each cylinder has it's own relay in the PCM the common part there is the PCM logic, but doesn't seem likely.
The 12v supply line to the injectors splits in the harness to each bank so if that connection is bad an entire bank would go down.
Same for the COP 12v supply lines.
The fuel supply splits at the fuel rail, but a temporary clog is unlikely.
The head and exhaust manifold are each a bank, but unlikely has anything to do with this problem.
The O2 sensors in the exhaust are bank specific, too.
Can you measure at the injector or COP when the problem is occurring to see if the supply voltages look good?
