Doc Daisy does have a lighter touch and is usually "just enough" medicine...

Seriously, never popped a dog, although the old man intentionally missed one to scare it and the neighbor spread one all over the driveway with his 12 gauge. We had a problem neighbor you see....

Then there was the time a pack of dogs learned how fun it is to kill calves. Other neighbor popped two of those, and the owners were all upset. Well, if you find your dogs covered in blood in the morning and keep leaving them out at night, I would think that outcome would be no surprise.

But I digress from the first world problem of piddling on the tires.....

Seriously:
If there are leash laws in your area, catch the dog and call animal control to come get it. The dog owners will not enjoy paying fines & fees for this, especially if it happens over & over. My sister in law's car was scratched by a neighbor's dog, she filed it with the cops and the neighbor stopped letting the dog run loose.

When my kids were young, there was a around the corner neighbor that let her dog loose. When that dog decided to keep my kids in the house by patrolling my front door, I paid the neighbor a visit. Her response was that I should keep an eye on my kids. I just looked at her and said, "Next time the mutt is on my property, he's dinner!" She called the cops on me for that. Cops came, I confirmed what I said, along with the explanation for that remark. Cops laughed and then went over to her house, advising she keep her dog in her yard.
Back to the thread: It doesn't matter the state of my tires on my car. What matters is if the dog is coming on my property. This shows lack of supervision by the owner. As such, there is going to be some hurt feelings.

there doesn't need to be any hurt feelings.call your neighbors and be kind.if no good comes from it,call animal control.
keep a level head.remember it's not the dogs fault it has incompetent owners.there are many people who own dogs, who shouldn't.

exactly. and with the current state of brain dead idiots running most of the country, doing ANYTHING to the dog will be considered animal cruelty.
but on the same lines, in a lot pf places now letting a dog run loose is considered animal cruelty.

My response was based on OPs opening thread. He said that he talked to the neighbor with no changes occurring. That is what I mean. If the neighbor doesn't care, neither will I. No, I wouldn't hurt the dog, but, I wouldn't let the situation remain the same, either. BTW, love your T-Bird!

Back, in my (much!) younger days, I would have handled this in one of several ways.

1. Talk to the dog's owner ONE MORE TIME and explain that you really do like dogs, but, the dog urinating on your nice, clean car HAS TO STOP.

2. I have been there. Done that..... except, it was a fat cat and a new truck involved.
You see, I asked the little old (fat) lady across the street to keep her cat off of my (then) NEW truck.
She laughed and said, "What do you want me to do??"

"Keep your cat off my truck, or, I'll take care of it.

2 weeks later, after scratching my new truck, the cat was returned to the lady as "Cat-Kabob", on an Easton XX75 aluminum arrow.

(No, I'm REALLY NOT a nice guy, in real life.)

3. Call the Animal Control office in your area, and have the dog picked up.

Good luck with the problem!

i solved the cat problem with my 88 diesel by running out one cold winter day about an hour after i got home, jumped in it and fired it up before the nasty fat furball could get out of the engine bay and the fan belts cut it in half.
the neighbor offered to pay for cleaning the engine because i had warned them one of these days the cat would not be coming home.

The only way you could control a cat would be to keep it inside. We have 2 cats, and they are inside/outside cats. I've never got a complaint from a neighbor about them. If I did, much to my kids disapproval, I'd tell them to shoot them. Dogs I know you can keep them tied up or put up an invisible fence. Cats, I don't know. The agreement to get these cats was that they would be indoor/outdoor animals. I don't like indoor animals.
