Question OLD OIL?

Hi amigos.
I need to change the oil to my truck and I found in the shop an original container with 20qts of oil, ESSO brand 15W 40, but was made in 2009, should I use it??

Thanks in advance

if it was sealed...and no signs of contamination...I would use it....

The flip side is that every time I do an oil change I pour about a quarter of a quart of oil straight through my focus to flush out some of the bad left inside...I would probably use a quart on the truck....it could be used for that....

It's not the salt. It's the seal on the jar. Often the expired date is for the container itself, not it's contents.
