Is the Excursion 3rd brake light from the F250/350 pickups like the rest of the truck... Or is it from an E-Series van like the tail lights?
In either case, is there a unit that has both the brake light and a bed/cargo area light? My rear window is tinted and I'd like to put a little light up high while I'm backing up... Just a little.
I really don't want to drill a bunch of holes for auxillary lighting, especially up high.

It's actually from neither, the closest 3rd brake light that will kind of work on it is from the 1997-2003 F-150. But it still does not fit correctly, so it would seem the Excursion 3rd brake like is specific to the Excursion only.
Russ is on point, one of the parts that is body specific is our third brake light. It's contoured for the top of the rear hatch, which is why nothing else just bolts in its place and looks clean. The F150 one is quite unsightly IMHO, pretty trashy.
Why not just wire in a cheap LED light or two over the hitch and run wires to the reverse lights? With such low current draw they won't hurt anything. Hell even a 3-watt Cree or something by itself throws a good bit of light itself.
Don't underestimate the power of an LED flood, they'll huck some light. Some cheap Velcro works for me when I'm figuring placement for maximum useable light and aiming.
Or you could go crazy and get some of the flush mounts and put them inside the barn doors right by a hinge on the corner
They're actually magnetic base lights salvaged from some industrial Trane brand air handlers. I have a couple different styles. I'll post up some part numbers later.
