I get normal temps on the free way and cold soak is within 1 degree of eachother if not spot on. I guess maybe replace the sensor would be logical the eot will go from 183 to 194 city driving usually 186 to 188. With ect being 190 to 194 usually.

You have something else going on....water cools the oil, once up to temp the oil temp will ALWAYS be a little above the water temp, without the water to cool it the oil would boil, I would suspect sensors.

.....or at least something on the electrical side

Yea I thought sensor at first but since the cold soak numbers were good...I'll just get one and see what happens

The thermostat in her is new yea I replaced it after my flush but before my new cooler. Let me tell you what a problem child it was when I first got her. I'm new to diesels as this is my first. I knew a bit of what to look for but obviously not enough. Bought the truck did all the filters and fluids. Then degas got a hole in it, broke the secondary fuel while doing blue spring upgrade, oil cooler and egr delete, new radiator, and then the issue we speak of now. It was quite the Rollercoaster but I think I have the kinks worked out. The wife was not happy cause all that was in the first like 1500 miles of ownership. Anyhow she is a beast now and luckily I can do the work myself so it wasn't too hard on the wallet. Thanks for the luck I'll take all I can get!
