I just had my plow switched over from an '87 F-150 to an '89 full size Bronco. The front end of the Bronco sags with the plow raised. I plan to use the Bronco ONLY to plow my own driveway- it will NOT be on the road. Does anyone have a suggestion to beef up the front end- quick and cheap. I put a few rubber plugs in the coils and that helped some. I've thought about getting air bags for the coils but that is about $200 more than i wanted to spend. I don't care how stiff the ride is, as long as it won't damage the truck. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Try putting in an ADD-A-LEAF kit, they are cheap quick fixes for just your such dilema. It will drive and ride stiffer though. Wait my bad an 89 TTB, well new springs then.
Someone at work told me I should just strap a 2 x 4 to the frame where the rubber things (whatever you call those rubber blocks that hit the frame when the coil bottoms out) and the frame meet. Will this work?

Man you must of talked with a Che%$ mechanic. Don't put a 2x4 in under the rubber mount. The mount is for when the rig bottoms out to keep your suspension from damaging anything. A 2x4 will cause it to bottom out more quickly and will cause major handling problems. Not to mention your Ford will start to look like a Che%$ with jimmy rigged fixes like that.
You can get taller/beefier coil springs which will fix your problem....
