Console gear indicator illumination?

Console gear indicator illumination?

Question...

2016 Expy. The gear indicator in the console has a red dot to show what position the shifter is in. This is in addition to the readout on the dash LCD.

At night, there is no illumination in the console to see where the shifter is currently set.

Should there be illumination in the console and could I have a burned out bulb? I know that this could have been an issue in older models, but I'm not sure of this one.

Isn't there anyone who could just look at their console at night to see if the gear indicator is illuminated on a 2016 Expy? There is nothing about this in the owner's manual.

i have a 15 and the console PRND does illuminate when the lights are on.

Yes I have an orange dot next to where the shifter position is on my 15' EL XLT. It's between the shifter and PRNDM21. I'll get a pic later.

also make sure your dimmer is high enough. i noticed that if the dimmer is less than about 70% the lights go out.
