Front air dam. Is it needed?
#31
i highly doubt removing it will cause any tangible effects, i.e. decreased cooling, noticeable reduction in fuel mileage, etc...
I removed the one on my GMC and have not noticed any difference.
Is the dam easily removable? is there anything behind there hanging down or will it clean from the bottom of the bumper?

I removed mine today. The wires for the fog lights are attached to the dam so I zip tied them to the frame and some other wires no problem. There are also two brackets that hang down that need to be removed. There was a thread earlier about them. Apparently they help stop you from driving over vehicles In a crash. The bumper itself has a lower lip which you can see along with a few bolts but in my opinion it looks better than that plastic piece that breaks off when you go off roading anyway. If it's a pavement princess then leave it on.
