Every time i shut the new truck off the steering wheel moves up and toward the dash, this is nice since it returns to where I set it when I start the truck. My question is if this is normal or if there is a setting to turn this feature off since I am concerned about all of the wear this will result in over the years.

We had this on our last and present Lincoln and it worked fine after 120K miles. Great feature. It also slid the drivers seat all the way back. Great for crushing the passengers feet if I forgot to wait to shut it off or did not turn the feature off with passengers.
We buy this wonderful equipment to enjoy the features, not save them for old age. Use and enjoy it!
That feature can be controlled in the F150. You should check the control panel settings, there are many user controlled items you can change to your preferences.
Should be able to turn "easy exit" feature I think they call it off or on in your settings. Seat should slide back too (if not already there as you said). Do the new SD's auto fold the mirrors upon exit?
