So I've been going through and replacing sensors and vacuum lines etc. My 95 f150 4.9 had a rough past life, the previous owner did no maintenance to speak of and tore stuff apart.
I'm stuck trying to replace the air intake temprature sensor without taking the intake manifold and or air pump off. It's been starting hard in the morning when it's cool. I can't get a wrench in there because the fuel rail is too close and the air pump is directly above the sensor.
If anyone has experience with this or any ideas I would be extreamly grateful.
I believe thats the the 2 wire ect/engine coolant temp sensor.
Since it's a PITA to get to you might want to test it first
IIRC with engine cool on a 70 degree day it should read around 60,000 ohms & slowly drop to about 2,000 ohms as the engine warms up.
But google it to see a resistance chart at different temps. Or your Haynes or Chiltons manual will tell you how to test it.
