A sort-of needed trip to the home supply joint with the FIL. Took the more rural roads that the old feller hadn't been on since he had more hair. Great weather, good roads, little traffic - happy day.

I am lucky. I drive my 55 F350 almost every day. I use it to haul my mower, blower, and weed whacker. And I make it a point to use it if I have to go Lowe's, a local lumber yard or to the hardware store. And I enjoy the looks, smiles, and thumbs up.

It can be a very frustrating addiction. My truck has been off the road for three weeks while I drain the fuel tank out etc etc due to picking up some bad fuel. It messed with the pump, so I had to get a new one of them and of course had to wait for it to arrive and so on. Finally got there, and ready for test drive and my wife tells me I have to mow to lawn before it rains, so there goes the morning and then its lunch time and then we have to go out shopping in her car and by the time we get home it's late and the next day I have to go into the city for a christening (to appease the family) and that takes care of my weekend. Managed to get the old girl to start and idle nicely now. Does it go ok on the road? Dunno. Have to wait yet another week as I work a 15 hour day and don't get home until after 9pm and if I want to drive the truck, have to move cars out of the drive way before we go anywhere and after a long day, am just too tired.
I love driving the truck (when I can) and when I can't, not getting my weekly fix of driving is far worse than me missing out on my coffee.

Ugh, I know all about this. And then sometimes the part ends up on backorder, even though the listing still shows it as in stock. So you wait a couple of weeks, and then cancel your order and just get what you need from Dennis Carpenter, who ships it to you in a couple days.
