My wife just bought a 2017 Explorer 2wd. Can it be towed four wheels down?

 

They discontinued the Owners Manuals in the '17 model? My educated guess is the front end must be lifted

 

Haven't looked at the manual yet. The wife was gone with it when I posted. I asked the salesperson and she didn't know and service was closed for the holiday.

(I did find out our 2013 awd sport CAN be towed 4 down....but right now the jeep is more fun when we get there )

 

Thanks for your reply. I downloaded the manual and found what I was looking for. We RV with a 5th wheel and someday may go to a Class A or C, so I was curious about using it as a toad.

 

So can a '17 be towed 4 down?

I know our new to us 13 AWD can. But it needs to be started every so often to lubricate things!
