Neon Clock. You can see it on the floor in the first pic. Fell from the wall, hit the work bench and landed at the back of the car just under the edge of the blankets that where covering the car to protect the paint. Burnt the paint all the way around the car
Sorry for the delay in getting back. Took another look at the tires. They are 7.5 x 20. Now for the reason for the delay. I must have done something wrong. Another fire!!!!!
Lighting struck my home and started a fire in the basement. Structure damage to the joist. Wiring, pluming, etc. All shot. Lots of smoke damage. Fire department did a great job saving the house. Going to take 3 to 6 months to get back in. Very lucky to have been home or it would have gone up. Guess I may have to start back to church. Later
I have a '48 unisaw with original switches and tags and an '80s powermatic for when I want to go the 'other way'. The unisaw is powered by a newer baldor 3hp. I finally wore out the original flathead in it.
Mine is the white colored grand edition with 52 in fence made in the 90's. It replace an old one from the 70's or 80's. Looks like I will be up grading do to the fire. What the fire didn't get, the fire department took care of with the water and foam
Being a career woodworker spoils it as a hobby. Don't remember when you showed up but I have a project combines wood and ford trucks.... Thread is called something like jailbar woodie wagon.
Beautiful work. Know what you mean by career. I restored antique furniture for 30 years in addition to my job as a chemical engineer. Got old after while. Late nights and weekends. No time left for myself. Guess that is why I started working with 60's mustangs and now old trucks. I can work on them when I want and drop the wrenches and walk out the door when I get tired or frustrated. I still do wood work but when I want to and not on a schedule
Man, this thread was tough to read and look at! Very sorry to hear about the fires. The words "had a fire" and "lucky" are'nt usually used in the same story. Glad to hear both were not lost!
Going back to the tires, who offers a 7.50-20 tire with a tread width of 6"? Like the original Firestones? The only ones I've seen have 7 or 8" width tread. They look like "balloon-type" tires. It changes the look of the truck with the larger tires. And what about the sawtooth tread? Everything I've seen has a very modern looking tread, which also takes away from "the look".
If anybody replies to the CL ad be aware that the GMC wheels are hub piloted. They are 5 lug x 8" pattern like Ford, but won't work on a Ford axle. Stu
