Has anyone out there used Royal Purple Diesel 15w40 Oil in there 6.0? Thinking of using it for the first time and wasn't sure if its actually worth the extra $$$. Side note- I live in Southwest Florida with pretty excessive heat year round.

I don't think its worth it anymore than any other synthetic oil personally.

It's CJ-4 rated and 15W40; it will function. Is it worth $30 a gallon when Delvac 15W40 is $10 a gallon? Not really, no oil is going to last longer than 5000-7500 in a 6.0 so why buy something 3x more expensive for the same oil life?

I use 5W40 year round in Texas, no temp issues and easier starting. I buy T6 when its on sale for $20/gal for the 5W rating.

I did once. Never again. I don't remember which weight, whichever the factory recommended I'm sure. I spent over $150 just in oil (this was maybe 6 years ago).

I use it but my company has a national account with them. I pay $7 a quart Canadian.

If you dont have a sponsorship or a rich uncle I wouldn't use Royal Purple. It may be good oil but not worth the money. I do however believe in full synthetic oil. I have used in in all my cars and I have yet to have a oil leak. Now conventional oils have changed and not sure how they really compare but its synthetic for me. I usually have my oil changed at the dealer in hopes they will be nice to me if I have a problem.
