yeah the older garages wont hold suvs very well at all. theres a mid 90s set of buildings that are border line at 6'5" ish to 7"0" but with pockets where pipes are low. ...all the newer garages pretty much hold anything

Just over stock is not bad and many places will work for you. With all the stuff I have on my roof most of the time now, I don't even try if the clearance is less than 9".
