I'm so glad to hear it! I drive by Different Strokes every morning on my way to work, they work on A LOT of trucks and I hear many good things. I'm happy you are back on the road!

We had a 00 7.3 at work and it sounded alot like that, it was number 5 as well. It eventually let go, i assume it cracked the cyl bore, because it dumped all its coolant into the oil pan. That was a close call on yours.

Why is it #5 cylinder the one to always give way? I ask because my engine on my OBS has the same knock on cyl #5, and also the long block I'm rebuilding had cylinder #5 with broken piston rings wich somehow travel to cyl #7 and destroyed that piston to? And none were dusted engines just plain ol work trucks.
