It looks like I found a weak spot in my "great deal". It looks like I have an issue with the first exh man bolt on the driver side. I see no bolt head, just a bunch of goop, that looks like liquid metal or something similar. It seems to be sealed so maybe I don't need to mess with it til it starts leaking? All the other bolts look fine.
I also have no real need for a performance header(I wouldn't get my money's worth for my needs) I just want one that works with all its bolts in place!
Well if you never want leaks and that's your main concern then pull the headers now and replace the bolts before the rest break. If you want to have a little update then yeah get the headers.
Yeah, eventually there will be more of the stock exhaust studs popping off, it's one of the few issues with these motors.

It's not only these motors it's mostly due to the aluminum heads having a different heat cycle than the cast Iron manifolds. The LS family from Chevy are far worst and more common than the Triton.
