Looks like it's up to 2250 acres, or about doubled in a day. The winds had been in my favor but I woke up to a lot of smoke today. Luckily there is a command post up the street and I've counted about 10 dozers and dozens of fire trucks. The fire appears to be just past that point so with any luck they'll keep their base from burning.
The Loma Fire has been keeping it real around here. I'm on Casa Loma Rd.
Yah. Pretty scary. I was at TFSMH Monday afternoon, and saw the fire & mushroom cloud as I was turning west on Dunne. I did not have the presence of mind to stop & take a picture.
Thanks guys! Looking a lot better today. Actually, they were hitting it pretty hard with the 16 helicopters yesterday afternoon. That helped a lot. It's kinda foggy and smoky out there now. I'm actually going to go to work this afternoon.
