I have an 06' f-350 with a single wheel rear axle setup. I am wanting to convert it do a dually, but I want it to also run semi wheels. How are both of these accomplished at the same time? do I need both the dually adapters and the semi 10 lug adapters?
Ive looked at just buying a true dually rear axle, but I cant find much good information on the years that would fit my truck. I do like that it is a really smooth ride. So any upgrade that I do would need to be an upgrade regardless of dual wheels.
No, I am actually wanting to upgrade so I can haul more. Multiple hay bailers and tractors specifically. I just cant seem to find many dual rear axels for sale on ebay except for older ones and I want something new(er)
Just changing the tires/wheels doesn't increase your capacity, in fact it will hurt you because the extra weight(semi truck tires are extremely heavy) will lower the truck's capacity. You'd have to upgrade the axles also and you'd still be limited by the 1 ton frame. Most of the guys that do the semi tire conversion do it for looks.
I meant single 19.5 tires and wheels. They make 19.5s that will bolt onto your axles without adapters, than run a 16 ply tire and the tires will exceed the capacity of the pickup.

On the rv.net site, Rickson is cited as the american supplier of choice for most (despite their very long product shipping waits) followed by Vision ... an off shore supplier. These are pretty much your choices for 19.5 rims.
These 19.5 rims will allow you to run higher load rated tires with much stiffer sidewalls for better handling. You still have to consider everything else though ... i.e. axle rating, suspension, gearing, brakes etc.
Like all of these mods, they will not legally change your GVWR or related numbers.
