Hella TDR (Time Delay Relay). The time delay is adjustable.
I am using a Carling momentary switch to turn on the Hella TDR timer, which then powers the heated mirrors, that way, I don't have to remember to shut the
switch back off.
I set the TDR for close to the maximum of 15 minutes. I haven't timed the cycle, to see exactly how long it is staying on.
Thanks again for the updates and pics. I did add Upfitter switches to my 06 but I still want an inside constant hot. I also plan on doing the same for a Key On hot - Tripped by 40 Amp relay by the "Cust Access" fuse. On my 06 it's a 10 Amp circuit - a white wire with a teal or bluish stripe capped off in the area behind the cup holder.
I got it all back together and reinstalled the Nav unit.
I added a switch on the far left to turn off the voltmeter and the LED in the double USB charging port.
The left rocker turns on the Time Delay Relay for 15 minutes, to heat the mirrors.
The right rocker turns off the LED in the other USB charging port.
There is a power port on the right side of the smaller panel
The covered port to the right of the upper panel, houses a USB and HDMI input for the nav unit.
I will work on the original panel, over the winter and may, or not, install it later.
This works and I may just keep it.
I'm just relieved that I can finally put all of the kick panels etc., back in place.

What radio/ nav unit do you have/ how do you like it ?
I did some setup today.
It seems to have better control of options.
I'm hoping this one will get rid of, or control, the over speed limit nag.
I turned the volume down for the navigation and I'm hoping that will work.
I drove it today and didn't hear any nags.
My Pioneer is a constant nag, it even nags in zones that are higher than the posted speed limit.
