bought my first Ford
I've owned a lot of chevys, but never a ford, at least not a classic truck I owned an 05 power stroke but I'm not counting that one. The funniest part about it is that I recently sold my 76 k10 sport and decided to pick up another project. I live in idaho falls idaho area but spotted a decent looking 84 shortbed c10 while browsing craigslist in St. George Utah (I thought it'd be fun to take a road trip and pick up a new project is why I was looking in the southern utah/vegas ads). Well while browsing I had noticed a cool looking little short bed bullnose and thought, maybe ill check it out if the chev falls through. Well long story short the chevy turned out rougher than I was told over the phone so I went to look at the ford and fell in love! It's my favorite color combo, but what really got me was how clean it was and mostly unmolested it was. It had sat for a decent amount of time and the sun had cooked the interior, but overall the truck was gorgeous. Body didn't have an ounce of rot and was really straight so I struck a deal and did some tuning on it (it needs a lot more) and drove it 8 hours home. It made it within 10 miles of home before it lost a belt haha oh well I consider that close enough. Anyway I'll post more pics as I go, but I'd like to also say thanks for all the help so far on this board, I couldn't have gotten the truck home without awesome help and responses from members on here and look forward to getting more familiar with these old trucks!

Thanks for the positive compliments everybody, it is very nice for the year. It didn't get used much, has just over 100k miles on it, it shows 9300 and I do believe it to be only 109k. I do have some pics of the driver's side so I'll post em up when I get to my comp. But the details on the truck are, 1984 f150 xl, has a.c., no power windows or locks. 302 auto AOD trans. It wasn't used much for the past 5-6 years or more so today I started taking care of the needed maintenance such as all new belts, flushed radiator, changes oil etc. Tomorrow I'll survive the trans. I have an older guy here in the area who is amazing with these old carbs and getting them tuned perfectly and he's very reasonable. After I get done with basic maintenance I'll run it to him and he'll go through everything from vacuum line to carb rebuilding to cleaning out fuel system. And yes the plan is to keep this bone stock, it hasn't been hacked up or screwed around with yet and I don't want to be the first

There's a ding but the way the light is makes it look almost like a crease. I'll snap a pic of it tomorrow. But yes it's the only real ding I could find on it.
