ANNOYING neighbor help
i have a neighbor who constanly revs his junk monte carlo. it is very annoying and the cops wont do anything so is there any way i could stop him or his car? thanks.

I think that you would be best off going over and talking to him about it. Be respectful, and polite. I've found that when dealing with people, if you give them the benefit of the doubt, confrontatoins go much easier. Perhaps he doesn't even realize that it is bothering you.

he sometimes revs it until 11 at night or so. he is on welfare so he has no job which means he has lots of time to rev it. he also revs his 80 something dodge dakota ALL DAY. there is no talking to him because he is such an idiot. he doesnt work on his car he just revs it. by the way his lisence is gone forever so i think he is trying to substitute driving with revving or something.i've about had it and my good friend mr model 94 winchester wants to talk to him.

Sugar in the gas tank?? Naaahh.. youd get cought. Does he ever have to get a gas can and put gas in it? He probably siphons it out of your lawnmower.

Depending on where you live - that can be considered violation under the noise ordnances. How do your other neighbors feel?

I don't recommend that route at first.
Try to get your neighbors together. If everyone was to call the police station everytime he was outside revving, they would get tired of the calls, and have a chat with him...
Now - if that didn't work - there are always starter positive wires that aren't tightened, rotor buttons missing, vaccum lines not attached, etc.
Again - I don't advise this route. You wouldn't want someone messing with your ride. Try the police first.

Maybe you will get lucky and he will blow it up himself. Till then, it may be time for the first part of an oil change.... I know I will criticized for that, but he asked...

I have two suggestions, (1)..sometime during the evening hours i'd take a pen light and a socket and loosen his drain plug until it leaked with a 'drip...drip'....but be sure and don't take it out completely (translation ..he is an idiot and didn't put in backin when last removed) , (2) find a good video recorder that can beactivated by the "reving" and Record a full sympyony of this idiot while he exercises his foot. Then take the tape down to the cops and give'em the Full Monty , noise and all. Your community should have some kind of nuisance ordiance that they can nail him with.........sk
