swapping engines
I posted this in the 460 site,Should have put it here I guess.
I'm in the planning stage of maybe putting a carbed460/c-6 in my 1994 F-150(4.9 5sp) This is the last problem I see with the swap,I want to use both front and back fuel tanks,fuel gage and tank switching switch. Can I put a fuel regulater before the carb adjust to say 6.5 psi and plumb in the trucks return fuel line?

Just remove the high pressure pump on the frame or find a low pressure pump to replace it with. Dropping from 40lbs+ to 6 1/2 is quite a big step down.
The tank pumps are low pressure, probably no more than 12psi so a Holley Red regulator should work fine. I like Mallory pumps and regulators myself.
