I have been chasing some issues I've been having with this truck for a while. I finally got AE software to start looking at some sensors on this truck. I just tried a new MAP sensor that I ordered from Riff Raff. This is the sensors I looked up and this is the numbers I got. At both KOE off and KOE on.
Manifold absolute pressure 12.6psi KOE off - 12.8 at idle
Manifold Pressure Gauge 0.1psi KOE off- -0.3 at idle
Barometric Pressure 148 psi Same
Barometric pressure volts 3.86vlts Same
Exhaust back Pressure 43.5psi Same
What is happening with my readings? Is it just that I have a bad PCM??
Pic is of after I plugged the EBP sensor back in. It was in a fooler.
Connect out side connections to power
Connect middle connection aka wiper to PCM
Adjust for 4.7 volts to PCM
Save a hundred bucks
I don't go over 2000 feet above sea level so it should work out fine for me.
I can't begin to pretend that I understand how to do that. I just unplugged the sensor and it reverted back to zero. Man is the truck violent. When it shifts there's no warning and u better have a mouth guard in. But it is a BRAND NEW tranny with a stage 2 shift kit in it. So I guess some firmness is to be expected. Even without the chip in it feels like it's running with 100 more horses. I'm kinda afraid to put the chip in. I ordered a baro sensor from ford, it should be in tomorrow. Lol took some time to cross reference the obsolete part
I just got a new BARO sensor from ford. It immediately went to 148.. Whats happening here. If I take the BARO off it goes to zero and shifts really hard. How many volts are supposed to be going through the BARO sensor?? Im running 3.86 volts to it.
