I have a 4" suspension lift on my Bronco and I had some coil spring spacers given to me (brand new). If I install these spacers will I have alignment problems? I think that the spacers are only an inch to an inch and a half high. They mount underneath the springs and are a rubber/polyurethane material. I wouldn't mind getting an extra inch on the front end. Anyone foresee any problems installing these? I am sure that I will have to realign my front end but other than that I can't think of anything. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
As long as they are the kind that mount below the springs, I wouldn't see anything wrong other than the alignment issue which may or may not be a major issue. It would be a good idea to have it checked anyway.
As for installing them, you will have to get the nut that holds the spring retainer, spring, and spring cup off to install it. Not that its all that difficult to do, but it is inside the spring at the bottom. Make sure you have enough thread left on the stud after you put the spacers in to get the nut on and torqued down to specs.
Thanks Greystreak! They are the spacers that mount at the bottom of the springs. I was wondering if the stud that holds those springs down would be long enough to accomodate another inch of lift. You answered the question before it was even asked. Thanks again.
