Did that. No fuse pop. So that says the trailer is defiantly at fault correct? I am about down to pulling all new wire!!!!

My guess, a wire got scuffed somewhere and is grounding out. My favorite saying: "These trailers are NOT built by Norm Abrams"

Meaning: they are not always built by the most professional people or built to last.

I didn't get my new Haulmark off their factory lot before having to get a stop light fixed. Been 19 years without a hitch since, so they aren't all bad.

Time for an update. I hate to say it's fixed because it will then break tomorrow. But I think I have tracked down the culprit. I bought the trailer from my dad 10 plus years ago. A year or so before he sold it a lady hit the side of the trailer on an icy part during winter. So there has been a small ripple in the trailer. To me it wasn't a big deal, never really thought much of it. Will don't you know that it's were they run up the wires for the trailer lights, and apparently it takes 10 plus years for the wire sheath to wear through. I had seen that area and checked it out quite a few times during all this. I traced the wires back the whole way and couldn't find anything. So I decided to try and straighten the side a little and get more space for the wires. Low and behold they started working. So it had to be rubbed up a little bit higher, where I couldn't see. Ran some loom on the brown, yellow and green to be safe. Took it for a spin and haven't lost lights yet. Will update tomorrow after I get home from the side job. Fingers are crossed for sure.

Sorry to take so long to get back on the question as to what is the J block or J box. Junction box where all wire come together.

Glad you found the problem.

In my experience it is almost always the case that the things that appear the most complicated almost always have a simple explanation. I have never been lucky enough to find short cuts that work reliably so I just plod along starting at the first connection and working one to the other to the other.

Glad you fixed your problem. I'm still trying to figure why I everything works perfect on mine except that one tail light doesn't have running light on, everything else works on both sides.

sometimes Luck is better than skill.

I have very little Luck... so rely on what skill I have.

Another failed Scotch Lok?
Time to remove the light fixture and see how the wiring is behind.

Sorry for the delay. I finely did figure out the issue and believe me it was after a good 12-15 hrs of labor checking all kinds of stuff. The wiring diagram on the back of the new lights were off. The running lights and the turn lights wires were being hooked up opposite when using the diagram on the light. Was messing around and finally desided to cut off the plugs and hardware. Then and only then did I find out the issue. Lights work great now and are SUPER BRIGHT!!! Would reccommed them for sure.
