Wing window handle fix?

Doing my wing window seals and the handles are somewhat loose on the shaft. It appears the pot metal ***** are worn inside. Anyone drilled out and bushed them? Thinking a bronze bushing from the hardware store might do the trick if I can find one that fits

The pin that holds them on is a PITA to get out, but it can be done. You do not want to damage, bend or break the stud off, so go easy.

You could just get new handles (chrome locking or none locking), and they even make a (black plastic locking or none locking) option too.

Also how are the white plastic tips on the end of the handles?

Tips are in good shape; my handles don't lock and I already have them off. I'll let ya know if I find a bushing that would work before ordering new handles

You could try brass shim stock if you can find it.
