Cam Phaser or Not?
New to Club, Hoping someone can help before i dump $$.
Once truck is warm, its rattles and shakes like its starving fuel. Worse when backing up.
If i am in neutral, i can rev the engine and it corrects the rattle/shake and can sit idle for hours without reverting back to the rattles.
As soon as i start driving again and slowing at a light it starts rattling and shaking. The sound is almost like as if it was a diesel.
Once the truck is over 50kmh it does not do it at all and rides, sounds great with normal gas mileage.
I have heard this is a cam phaser issue, but maybe its timing chain or something simpler. Any Thoughts and thanks to all.
