Tea Kettle Sound and Loss of Power on 7% Grade Under Load
2004.5 F250, EGR delete, Oil cooler upgrade, and Blue spring upgrade.
I was towing a pontoon boat up a 7% grade for a 1/2 mile. 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up the hill truck starts to loose power and I hear a tea kettle sound. Once to the top of the hill truck runs fine and smooth as silk.
No issues when not towing.
When I remove the cap from the Degas Bottle I can see bubbles coming up. There is no overflowing of the Degas Bottle just bubbles on the inside. If I had the EGR still on I would think possibly the EGR cooler but since it has been deleted I'm thinking HG.
The truck is currently at the shop and mechanic says he cannot find any issues with the truck.
Could something else be causing these issues?
Could the bubbles in the Degas be from one issue and the Tea kettle sound be from another? Could a hole in one of the CAC fittings cause the Tea Kettle sound?
Any suggestions, thoughts, or advice would be greatly appreciated.
