Anyone know if the pinouts for the Ford camera outlet are available? Might be able use the above system - cut and splice this in and make it work. I can't image the Ford camera system needing more than 6 wires which is what this system is.

Someone posted it is a 12 wire but I can't remember who or if they were correct?

I would really doubt that 12 wires are needed to run that camera. I suspect that only 4 or 6 wires are utilized if the connector is a 12 wire connector.

Tip for the Yankees making connections. Use the liquid electrical tape on your connections and let it dry before the heat shrink. One more layer against possible salt water contamination. Then to make it really bulletproof wrap it up with Scotch® Rubber Splicing Tape 23. Pull off the backing, stretch 50% then wrap away. Awesome stuff.

Bet you have the tape b-4 you have the truck! That stuff is impressive. Just remember to stretch per the directions before applying to activate the self adhere properties.

I drove that same 450 Platinum that gascan mentioned above at the San Antonio event this morning. To add to the camera discussion on a position note....I went through the screens in reverse and forward to see all views. It is a really impressive set of angles that you get to see on the dash screen. First time driving a dually in about 20 years...and a 450 at that. Rode really nice. He confirmed that the Platinums will be getting the FULL leather wrap on the wheel as opposed to the wood top mentioned in the other post. Only got to drive around the parking lot...couldn't really open it up to see the acceleration. They had 4 trucks there. I'd post pics...but they are pretty much the exact same trucks making the rounds. Can't wait for my 250 to show up!!

I hope the person you spoke to was wrong about the wheel that is described in all of Fords official ordering guides as being Leather/Wood...I have it now and would feel cheated to not get it again especially at this price.

My existing camera system only uses 3 wires, Power, ground and video. an d the camera includes IR led's for low light. I hope I can figure out how to make a patch cable, I'd like the see the schematics for the camera connection. I have read that some of those 12 wires are for the tpms for the trailers, not sure how they'd work though maybe a receiving antenna?

He is right. Wood is gone and so is the description from the window sticker. I have an older window sticker for the F450 platinum and it had the wood insert wheel. New window sticker from 8/10 of the same truck - All leather wrapped heated wheel - no mention of wood.

For those that seem to know,, what about the Platinum lettering on the side of the bed? I have not seen it on the pictures but it is described on the dealer order info.

You have to mount an interface module on your trailer. It would receive the wireless signals from the TPMS sensors and then they would be sent up a wires (s) to the truck. With up to 8 tires on a gooseneck trailer, I don't know if they use individual lines or one shared one
