Got a new Race Red f150 lariat coming in tomorrow with the 2.7 ecoboost and 3.55 gears to replace my 2007 f150 lariat. Peppy little engine for sure not sure how it will hold up for the long run so it is getting factory undercoating, 3M on the front, and extended warranty for 6 years/120,000km. We'll see how it holds up I guess up here in Alberta, Canada.

Congrats! Everyone that I've talked to with the 2.7L EB has been very happy with that choice. I've driven a couple, and it does not disappoint.

Do they use salt on the roads up there in Canuck-land?

They do use salt up here. Hopefully the undercoating will help.

I was really happy when I moved to California many, many moons ago and discovered that the roads do not get the salt treatment here. It's not unusual to see 50+ year old cars with original paint.

Looks nice. If you hook up a trailer & doing any towing, please post an update. I'm thinking the 2.7 w/ 355s for my next one. I also want the 10 speed so I'll be waiting a couple more years.

Will do its a nice little engine so far but barely at 1000km. My 11 f350 does most of the towing right now but if I get a chance to tow with it i'll let you know. The next gen 3.5 looks pretty nice too with the 10 speed and direct and port fuel injection. Curious on how fuel mileage will do there.
