Ring & pinion gears come as a set as well as the shim packs, crush washer, etc...or they should. Some gear marking compound is a necessity to set correct backlash and preload. A dial indicator is a must, too.
Keep the shims in order, note the thicknesses and as to what side they go on and note the pinion shims, too. Bag and tag all the parts...keep the berrin caps separate and note their orientation - left, right, top and bottom.
I would change the carrier/pinion berrins as well, check the spiders for wear.
