engine stalls
Well this damn truck has now done this to me on several occasions. When braking the engine shuts down... makes braking and steering very interesting. Anyone have similar problems or experiances. I wonder if the computer will show a code error. I just haven't had the time to take it to a shop for evaluation.

What kind of transmission do you have? Whether you have an automatic or a stick, the transmission could be going south on you. Another question is: did you buy the truck new or used?

I'd go with what israel said and have the Cam position sensor checked. Because this has never happened to me and I don't know whatelse to say or do. Does it start ok or does it give you a hard start? A good start is defined by about 1-2 turns (sometimes 3) before the engine actually turns over and starts. A bad or hard start is usually defined by about 4-5 turns before it ever decides to start. If it gives you a hard start, then it's more than likely the Cam position sensor. Mine had to be replaced when I took it to the dealership for maintenance and 2 new batteries. After that, my X never hesitated to start for me at all, it starts up sometimes as soon as I turn the key; just like a new truck. Look into that and post, we'll see what we can do to save you a few bucks.
