Alright guys, I'm going junkyard shopping this Friday. I have a list of vehicles for the 3G alternator and electric cooling fan. Anything other upgrade items I should look for while I'm out?
Intermittent wiper switches from 80-86. Easy to test, just see if they have a position left of off.
Always tilt columns from 79 and earlier. Motorcraft/Autolite blue grommet ignition boxes, always better than a new one from anywhere else. I also always like to pirate those slide on wire ends like they used on the starter relay and other ends like the coil connector, any of the Duraspark connectors with as much wire as you can get.
HIO, do you have any more info about the volvo relay? what model and year cars does it come from? where is it located on said cars? I know I'm asking a lot, but you typically are full of knowledge. Thanks for all the reply's everybody and wish me luck.

I recall they're on 90s Volvos... They're usually behind the right headlight area but generally on the core support somewhere.

Here it is installed on my '70. I made the bracket... the relay assembly simply clips over a piece of aluminum shimmed away from the core support.:
